Call number
The call number is the information which is used to shelve the book in the correct area. Call numbers are created by using the typewriter to type the number, first three letters of the authors' last name onto a blank sticker, and wether the book is a non-fiction (NF) or fiction (F) book.
It is placed about 1cm above the bottom of the spine of the book; however, if it does not fit onto the spine, it it is placed on the back of the cover, on the bottom- right hand side, about 1cm from the bottom and spine.

Covering
Covering is always done after the call number and barcode, so they are well-protected.
